For those of you who were wondering, SHORTLY after I posted the 'At Least Give Us Roc's Cape' comic, my tablet pen stopped working. Now I'm living in Montreal for the semester and my replacement pen JUST ARRIVED TODAY!!! Great that it was free, but it took, you know, three weeks. I guess nothing really is free. So, I'll soon be back at it, now that I can again use my tablet. Even if scanning in my drawings to work in flash was even remotely work it or practical, I don't have a scanner here! (Well, I do but it's crap, so yeah.)

Now, Allons-y!

Update


So here's the news! I had my birthday last week, during which I received some pretty awesome gifts. The most outstanding of the small but fantastic bunch was a hoodie with the 50last Anniversary Art airbrushed on the back and BF on the front with my name underneath. I have my ultra-amazing boyfriend to thank for that one! My OTHER kick-ass gift was a Bamboo Tablet, 3 x 5. Woo! FINALLY!! It's a little black dream come true! And, as it so happens, my Adobe Suite arrived the day before my birthday (over a month after I ordered it from Adobe. Never order directly from Adobe, go to Journey Ed or Academic Superstore to get student discounts on products.)

In OTHER words, I'm gonna be getting back into the 50last swing of things. I want to take the next couple weeks to finish 106(FINALLY) and move on to getting around to 104 and 107. I realize, yes, it's all long overdue!!

PS: I also got V for Vendetta on DVD and the original V for Vendetta graphic novel, which was very different from the movie and delivers a similar but certainly separate message from the one in the movie. I've been wanting to start working on a graphic of my own, but I need a concrete and original story first.

Okay, there's been a change of plans everyone. I lost my camp counselor job because the camp didn't have as many campers signing up as they expected. @___@. THAT was disappointing. *SIGH*

Anyway, I'm waiting for Adobe to deliver my Student Edition of CS4 Creative Suite 4, which has Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and more for an insanely low price. (Suspiciously low...) It took a MONTH of fighting with Customer Service to get my student ID approved, but they've finally approved it and it should be here sometime next week, at the earliest.

Speaking of next week, that's when I'm having my BIRTHDAY!!! !!! Huzzah!!

Update

I now have over 200 watchers. ... COOL!

Wow, so I haven't updated my journal in a loooooong time.

Mostly, I've been doing lotsa lotsa school work. Made my first Flash game with my team in Production 1. I'll have to post it for everyone to check out. I'm also working on a smaller game separately with one friend- he's the designer and I'm the artist- called Feeding Frenzy. And I've been making the long boards, as you've seen, and I still need to finish a picture for a contest that's due, like, this week.

And I haven't made a 50last comic in a whiiiiile. I wanted to get back on that, but it was too time consuming to do any this semester. If I had a tablet** I'd be able to do a lot more work, faster, but for the time being I am without.

So you'll all just have to hang tight. I'll get my inspiration back eventually!

COMIC 106 is ON THE WAY!! I've worked out the AS 3.0 in Flash and next I'm gonna make the art, and THEN I'm gonna need voices! Luckily, I only need a handful of characters.

The Voices of the 50last

Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about 104.

~Kerwyn-Aldaron and I are scouting for a few people to do voices in the50last. So far we already have
~tyrannusBE,=SnapFissure, and ~NeoDaitou.

All are welcome! For comic 106, we have three Rebels, B.F.001, and a quick Jet cameo. I'd be really interested to see why kinds of voices we could get for Jet...
